My course “Experimenting in the Darkroom” has started at MK24 (https://www.mk24.nl/cursussen/experimenting-in-the-darkroom/) with 9 students. Students who are willing to experiment and who are embracing the process.
It’s a 4-session course focusing on experimentation in the darkroom. In general the following subjects will be covered
Session 1 Photograms
Experiment with shapes and density to create surprising and interesting visuals.
Session 2 Phytograms & Chemigrams
We will work with darkroom chemistry in nontradional ways and let the effects surprise us.
Session 3 Mobigrams
Make analog prints with a cell phone and/or digital camera. Pictures taken with a digital camera will be used in an analog process to print an image.
Session 4 Combination of the 3 techniques
This session applies and combines the techniques learned in the previous 3 sessions.
